Early Word Together

Early Words Together

Where learning begins at home

To build the foundation skills for all areas of development, we focus on developing speaking and listening skills through engagement with families.

Early Words Together is a targeted family learning programme for families with children aged three to four. Funded through the Family Hub Start for Life offer, this National Literacy Trust programme is delivered in our school to small groups over six weeks.

The aims of the course are to increase children’s language and literacy development and contribute to their wider development and school readiness. A Communication Development Worker supports a dedicated early years staff member to model activities that support speech, language and communication development.

The course empowers parents to develop and enrich the home learning environment and support their child’s early language and literacy.
